2021 has seen the Castlemaine Football Netball Club attract a number of local players back to the club, whilst retaining the majority of local players from the club in 2019 and adding to it with newest recruit Liam Wilkinson.   Attracting the most attention is former Castlemaine player, Jackson Hood.

Don Moran, a former Premiership player and VCFL representative, Don, will returns to the club as Head coach in 2021. He brings to the club a wealth of playing/coaching knowledge and experience gained throughout Victoria and New South Wales, spanning Junior, Senior and elite/high performance levels of football.

Brodie Martin has started his coaching career very young as his playing days were cut short due to injury.  beginning in the MCDFNL at Campbells Creek as an Under 17.5’s coach before moving to Castlemaine in 2019 where he reinstated our under 18’s team from a year off, he continued that role in 2020 and the season was unfortunately abandoned due to covid-19.  Brodie now taking on a development role with the club where he can help individuals hone their skills to be the best they can be; Brodie also will head up our latest ‘Rookie Program’ where he oversees the future of our club in players from our under 16’s and under 18’s that not only show promise on field but exercise values off field and hold good attendance at training.
